Check out these fun and unique ways that people around the country have used their Chevrolets to create something brand-new and something that truly adds to the beauty and uniqueness of their world.
Business: I Look So Good Smoothies
Vehicle: 1951 Chevrolet Truck
Smoothie anyone? For a tasty, refreshing, super healthy treat, walk up to Amanda Erickson's smoothie truck, found at festivals, farmers' markets, and other events around Minnesota.
Amanda started I Look So Good Smoothies to offer smoothie-lovers options that weren't from concentrate. And to begin her venture, instead of investing in a brand-new food truck, Amanda chose to use a 1951 Chevrolet panel truck in jade green. From here, she serves her delicious and nutritious smoothies that are always a hit with the crowds! Learn more here.
Business: Streetgreens
Vehicle: 1982 Chevrolet P20 Truck
The Bohmann family loves great food. And they've taken their passion for healthy, delicious meals to the streets of South Burlington, Vermont. The entire family works on the truck, which offers a variety of healthy and simple salads, grain bowls, and wraps.
The kicker is this street truck operates out of the 1982 Chevrolet P20. It used to be an air-supply truck for the Burlington Fire Department, but the Bohmann family bought it for about $5000 several years ago when they started their business. Check out their website here!
Business: Southern Crust Catering
Vehicle: 1953 Chevy 3100 Series Truck
Hire Southern Crust Catering to cater you event, and the main attraction may not be the food (though that'll be the second super amazing thing that hits you!).
In fact, the first thing people notice about Southern Crust Catering is where their delicious wood-fired pizzas come from: A 1953 Chevrolet truck converted into a portable kitchen.
Everything these caterers need comes out of the truck, including a wood-burning pizza oven, all ingredients, and the serving area. The owner Bob Lewis calls the kitchen area "the box." Check out their website here to learn more about their delicious pizzas and catering services.
What Will Do With Your Chevrolet?
Chevrolets are useful for the super inventive ideas we've listed above because they're built to last. Chevrolets represent the fine American craftsmanship that our country was built on - durable construction, state-of-the-art design, and engines that outlast the competition. And just because a Chevrolet may be a few decades old doesn't mean it can't still be put to good use - as you can see with the examples above!
