I brought the dealership a difficult problem. My 2019 Chevy Silverado 1500, caught on fire 12/31/2024. It took the dealership 2 1/2 weeks for an initial evaluation, I was not notified of the delay until I called the dealership. It was determined the fire started in the fuse box and melted the main wiring harness. I had to stop at the dealership to learn there was no ETA on the wiring harness delivery. That arrived 1 1/2 month later, I was notified, it was installed and determined a new starter was needed. The dealership notified my insurance company on Monday, the adjuster requested supporting documentation for payment, after numerous emails from the adjuster to the service manager, it was finally provided the following Thursday. Pickup of vehicle was smooth and questions I had were answered. The service manager does not communicate well or in a timely manner with clients. This was a 3-month process, partially due to the unavailability of the wiring harness, but also due to lack of prompt action by the service manager when parts were available.
